Story
Founded in 1994. Until March 2009, AFK Sistema owned 50% of the voting shares.
In 2009, Promsvyazcapital represented by Synterra Cyprus Ltd. acquired a 50% stake in MTT from AFK Sistema. Another 25% was bought from offshore Danmax. The remaining 25% of the shares were sold to Eventis Telecom Holdings.
In October 2012, Promsvyazcapital sold its 75% stake in Interregional TransitTelecom to the Alternativa Capital Investments fund, owned by Leonid Reiman and VTB structures.
In February 2013, the Alternativa Capital Investments fund, owned by Leonid Reiman and the Cypriot subsidiary of VTB Russian Commercial Bank (Cyprus) Ltd. brought the share in MTT to 100%.

Activity
Interregional TransitTelecom has been providing long-distance and international telephone services throughout Russia since March 1, 2006, becoming the first long-distance operator alternative to Rostelecom. The company connects 300 networks of Russian mobile operators with each other, as well as networks of Russian operators with 50 foreign communication networks. To access MTT services, codes have been allocated: "53" - for long-distance communications and "58" - for international communications.
In 1995, the collegium of the Ministry of Communications of the Russian Federation instructed the company Interregional Transit Telecom (MTT) to create a common transit network for SPS-450 and SPS-900 (mobile radio networks in the 450 and 900 MHz bands). MTT built the first transit hub in Moscow.
In 1996, MTT built a second transit hub in St. Petersburg, and opened international roaming services for mobile cellular networks
Revenue for 2009 amounted to 13.555 billion rubles, net loss - 208.5 million rubles.
Services
"Interregional TransitTelecom", in addition to long-distance and international telephone communication, provides a service for connecting automatic telephone exchanges. Virtual PBX is a cloud-based communication service that replaces analog telephone exchanges. Users receive a ready-to-use IP-PBX, physically hosted on the provider's server. New subscribers pay connection and/or subscription fees for using the service on an ongoing basis. Virtual PBX provides access to all Internet telephony options:

- federal numbers 8 (800) and 8 (804);
