In my opinion, it is in this order that the factors are arranged according to the degree of influence on a person’s motivation and attitude to his work, to the place of activity in which he has to work.

Thus, if we try to resolve all the negative issues associated with the listed factors, then we can assume that, according to statistics, there will be more people who love their work than before.

I propose to consider the first two factors in more detail.

1. What to do if a person, in principle, has lost interest in the activity that is entrusted to him?

Well, a person has no desire to do that work and perform the functions that are required of him!

In this case, I can confidently say that motivation this employee by raising wages or in other ways will not improve the situation. Raising wages will not change a person's attitude to his work, there are many examples from life.

There are also a huge number of examples of people with bright eyes taking on their work and doing it, despite low wages, because they love their work. And there are many examples in life when a person has a large salary and performs his duties with great reluctance, because he does not like his job at all.

For people who do not like their work, there is only one way out - to find another job or even change the field of activity. Moreover, the sooner a person does this, the better it will be in the first place for him. But before you change something in your life, you need to figure out what, in fact, a person likes, and what kind of occupation does he like?

Due to the fact that work does not give a person pleasure and does not bring much satisfaction, respectively, and the result of his labor activity can not be called the maximum and effective. Because only the person who takes up his business with all passion and excitement can achieve high results, including growth in the career ladder or in life!

For a passive person, the result of his work can be characterized by the words “somehow”, “somehow”, “I will do it, but later”, “I will do it, if only we are left behind”, etc.! These people spend a significant part of their working time talking with colleagues or talking on the phone outside of work, often taking time for coffee breaks, etc. However, such an attitude of a person to his own work can lead to even worse consequences for him, in addition to dissatisfaction with his work.

If his leader is an ambitious person, sets high goals and tasks for himself and his team, then he will certainly pay attention to those of his subordinates who work below their capabilities and responsibilities. Because such employees can become a big problem for the overall effectiveness of the team and a “weight” that reduces overall performance.

On this basis, conflicts may arise between the management and the subordinate, and the results of this confrontation, most likely, will not be in favor of the subordinate. In the best case, unacceptable conditions for further work will be created for this employee, in the worst case, they will be fired (or maybe this is the opposite for the better, for everyone).

Each employee should not be a problem for his management, but a problem solver - a person who is able to effectively solve all the issues raised, within his competence, of course!

But there is another, most compelling, reason why you should not waste time at a job that you do not like - time! Life is too short and too fleeting to ruthlessly waste your time on things that do not bring satisfaction! And given that the duration of the working day is 8 hours a day, it is all the more necessary to think about your stay in this place!

My advice: if you do not like your work, then you should decide what is your vocation, what kind of activity you like. As soon as you find yourself, you will make a very high-quality breakthrough in your life, the result of which will be your own satisfaction and financial well-being!

2. What can be done to achieve salary satisfaction?

Or how can wages be increased? Here I can offer two options for action, and they are not mutually exclusive.

Option 1. Approach your manager and ask a direct question: “What should I do in order to increase my salary?”

It is possible that you will take the manager by surprise with your question, so he needs to give time to realize your offer. And if your leader is not an ordinary careerist, but a person who is determined to achieve results, then he will definitely analyze your activities and inform you of your weaknesses, eliminating which you can get better work results, which can lead to an increase in your salary or getting various awards.

Of course, the conversation between you and your manager should be built precisely in the plane of work and around your responsibilities, and not touch on some personal relationships and extra-work moments.

In any case, between you and your manager, the rules of the “game” called work should be clearly spelled out, and everyone should clearly understand their rights and responsibilities.

Option 2: Do a little more than what is required of you

Almost all successful people give this advice. If you want more, do more! There are many examples in life of how people, guided by this principle, achieve incredible heights in their careers.

Moreover, this rule does not work in the opposite direction, i.e. "Pay me more and I will work more"! No normal manager will raise wages until his employee has increased his performance.
