How to unblock a facebook ad account. How to unblock a Facebook ad account

One of the most popular topics on Facebook is account bans.

I'll tell you about the most common reasons that I learned over the years of working with Facebook - why accounts are blocked and how to reduce the risk of being blocked. I will not write about black methods. Maybe another time 🙂

Possible reasons why FB is blocked

  1. Mark a domain that was blocked in another account.
  2. It is not advisable to add to the admins those accounts for which the ad account has been blocked.
  3. 1 advertising office = 1 card
  4. Inconsistency between the billing country and the account country.
  5. The bank card must be registered in the name of the account holder.
  6. Avoid a situation that the FB cannot write off funds for advertising.
  7. Many actions of the same type in a short period of time.
  8. Complaints about advertising from users

In my experience, the key reasons are 1, 3, 8.

Example: an account with advertising on domain X was blocked. I took another account, created campaigns on the same domain, a minute after sending it for moderation, the new account was blocked. Since my accounts were blocked a bunch of times, I tried to use the same creatives (text, picture) and completely different ones in new accounts with domain X. The results are the same - ban.

Solution: Keep a couple of other domains handy.

The blocked account had a N card. In the new account, I advertise for a new domain, but I add the same card. The result is a ban.

Solution option: issue additional cards in your bank, use customer cards.

Too subjective reason, which is difficult to understand and, unfortunately, to influence. Knowledge of the rules of advertising, which can be indicated in the text and pictures, is not enough.

By hiding comments, you can only influence the effectiveness of advertising, and not the conditional "karma". The problem is that the difference between "fierce negative" and "moderate negative" is not clear.

There are accounts that I still cannot unblock. Exactly because of this reason.

Caringly standard support response:

Let's figure out the rest of the reasons for blocking the Facebook ad cabinet

If you add a soccer team of bad users, then you might get banned, but that rarely happens.

This is more of an indirect reason that, in combination with others, affects the ban of an account. In my experience, it strongly affects cause 8.

If you work for Russian market, it is difficult to get banned for this reason. Create a client account or use your own - choose Russia. Did you oversleep and choose the wrong time zone? It's okay, it doesn't affect the ban. It is inconvenient to watch statistics for advertising and nothing more.

It often happens that Facebook blocks an account because "it feels like your card was stolen and we will secure your account - confirm the card if we are wrong"

You will be prompted to follow this link - https://www.facebook.com/help/contact/531795380173090- and confirm the card. Go on, confirm. In this case, the support is friendly and should quickly unblock the account.

There was a time when Facebook was blocked for mismatching the card details and the name of the account holder. You could add a card to someone else's name and Facebook instantly blocked the account. Today, this is one of the rarest reasons.

Facebook sometimes blocks and says: "it feels like you stole the card - confirm the card if we're wrong"

Confirm the card following the advice in the previous point.

You can get banned:

  • if you constantly forget about payments. For example, 5 or 10 times when Facebook is unable to charge the money.
  • if you paid off the debt after a few months (or even years).

If you forgot about a payment for several hours or days a couple of times, it's okay.

Be careful and always keep the required amount on the card.

Maybe, but rarely.

Copy a bunch of ads, send for moderation; copy, send; copy, send and so on for half a day.

Take breaks if you're going to be working with a lot of ads in your account all day.

An important point:

If there was a history of communication with the support service and the situation was resolved in your favor, subsequent bans are very easy to appeal and much more difficult to get a ban.

Business Manager (hereinafter BM)

This is the method that solves the maximum of possible problems and reduces the risk of blocking under points 1 and 3.

1) Create BM if you don't have one.

There is no point in writing instructions on how to create a BM.

By the way, Facebook has a fairly detailed and understandable knowledge base. I advise you to use if you do not know any settings:

You will be able to use one domain from different BM accounts and add one card to all accounts.

Do you want to increase the number of accounts?

2 ways:

  1. Write to the specialist in the chat that you want to increase the number of accounts. Come up with an adequate reason yourself. The simplest one is “you have many clients and each one needs a separate account”.
  2. Use each account gradually. You can even advertise the same product. You will be able to create more accounts soon. I know that there are 50 active accounts on the Business Manager, and even 800.

Appeal forms.

Anna Black

Account blocking is a problem that may never affect you, but it can cause losses or deprive you of potential profits. It is especially offensive if the account is blocked on the eve of the holidays, when advertising cannot be postponed for several days.

I have been creating content for Facebook ads for 5 years, I have been launching a year myself and advising. At least once a month they complain to me about the blocking of my account, or I myself find myself in such a situation. Usually the block is removed simply, but it is better not to allow it.

There are three main reasons why Facebook is blocking the Ads Manager ad account:

We will analyze how to avoid blocking, insure against the consequences, and what opportunities there are to quickly restore work.

Why are they blocked?

Facebook protects its reputation and advertisers' finances. The algorithm blocks ads or means of payment when actions or content appear suspicious to the system. The main task of the algorithm is to find bad advertisers. The algorithm works according to the principle “it is better to block good advertising than to show inadmissible ". Due to the capricious system, conscientious users also get banned.

Bad advertising

When validated, the algorithm looks at the image, text, and the page the ad is linking to. Therefore, all the rules apply not only to the material that will be seen Facebook users, but also to the page that the user lands on when they click.

Suspicious use of an account or means of payment

If a fraudster gains access to your advertising account, he can spend funds from your card on his advertising campaigns... Facebook takes care of quickly recording the actions of scammers and blocking. The algorithm considers it suspicious when:

You will receive one of these messages:

In the Russian version:

We encountered unusual payment activity, account logins, or received a payment claim. Therefore, your account has been disabled to protect your personal and financial information. Please contact us.

Don't worry if you haven't violated Facebook's policies, this block can be quickly removed.

By mistake

Every day, Facebook's algorithm processes ads for five million active business pages and sometimes makes mistakes. If your advertisement reaches a live operator, he does not always evaluate it objectively: the same advertisement message can be interpreted by different operators in different ways. Often Facebook puts a block by mistake and admits it itself:

Or it blocks the payment instrument by mistake, restores it after your complaint and apologizes:

Translation:

Thanks for contacting Facebook. I am sorry for the inconvenience.

I have restored your account, so now you have access to payment methods again. Just go to the payment section.

How to avoid blocking and prevent consequences

1. Explorefundamental rules social network and run good ads

2. Register a business manager (BM)

Especially if you manage several pages at once. In BM, you can link a separate payment instrument to each account, manage business pages and give colleagues administrator rights.

3. Connect a real card with enough funds and your name

Facebook trusts real bank cards, where the owner's name is the same as the account administrator's. If you are using someone else's card, make this person an administrator.

If you log into an advertising account from an unfamiliar IP, the system may think that you have been hacked and block the payment method. If you are often on business trips, give administrator rights to your deputy and entrust him with launching advertising.

5. Provide yourself access to a color copy of your passport or ID

If you are blocked, the system will ask you for a copy of your passport or ID. Upload your document to cloud service or send it to your mail. So you can quickly download it anywhere in the world and attach it to a letter to tech support.

Facebook doesn't trust newbies. To run ads without problems, you need to complete your account, make several publications and develop it for at least a week.

8. Do not designate people who have blocked an ad account as administrators.

Facebook doesn't like users with a bad reputation.

How to remove a block

Depends on the reason and type of blocking. But even if you wrote in the wrong place, your complaint will be forwarded to the right department and answered. Facebook support works with care, but often slowly. You can speed up and improve the process:

I log into Facebook and it tells me that the account is disabled (access to the account is blocked or it is deactivated). Why? What to do? Read this manual and it will help you solve the problem.

What happened? Why was my Facebook page blocked?

Your page is disabled, so you cannot enter it, even if you enter the correct username and password. This was done by the Facebook administration because your page violated the site's terms of use. The reasons can be very different:

1. You yourself broke Facebook rules

Facebook has terms of use for the site, and you cannot register if you disagree with them (link here at the end of the instructions). Therefore, if you have a Facebook page, it is implied that you have agreed to be bound by these terms. And he agreed that you can be blocked if you do not fulfill them. (maybe you read badly or just agreed without reading?). There can be many reasons for blocking an account, because there are also many rules. Some possible options:

  • You posted some materials that violate the terms of Facebook (someone else's without the author's permission, illegal, fraudulent, hostile, offensive, etc.).
  • You have been given a clearly fake name or false information about yourself.
  • You pretended to be another person.
  • You didn't have one personal page, but two or more.
  • You used personal page for commercial purposes (there are company pages for this).
  • You behaved aggressively or abusively.
  • You have sent unsolicited advertisements, messages, multiple friend requests, or harassed or threatened people. Even one complaint is enough to block.

2. Someone hacked your account and broke Facebook rules using your page

In this case, you do not understand at all why you could have been blocked, because you did not violate anything. It turns out that attackers could gain access to your page (hack it), having learned your username and password, and send unwanted advertisements on your behalf or do something else. Perhaps your password was stolen by a malware or virus, or perhaps you yourself entered the password on a fake site, thinking it was Facebook. This is your fault, because you yourself have to take care of the safety. And Facebook had no choice but to disable your page.

3. Your page was blocked by mistake

Facebook reported that they block about 1 million pages of scammers, spammers and other violators per day. With such a number, the pages of respectable users are sometimes mistakenly blocked. Maybe a similar technical error affected you. What to do - read below.
